August 2020, South Sulawesi exports increased 6.28 percent compared to July 2020

Abstract

• The export value sent through the port of South Sulawesi in August 2020 was recorded at US $ 110.57 million. This figure has increased by 6.28 percent when compared to the export value in July 2020 which reached US $ 104.04 million. In line with this, the achievement in August 2020 recorded an increase of 1.76 percent from the conditions of the same month the previous year which reached US $ 108.65 million.
• The five main commodities exported in August 2020 are nickel; Seaweed and Other Algae; Salt, sulfur and lime; Iron and Steel; and Fish, Shrimp and Other Non-Backwater Animals with a percentage distribution of 63.54 percent, 9.78 percent, 6.20 percent, 5.45 percent and 4.23 percent, respectively.
• Most of the exports in August 2020 were destined for Japan, China, Australia, the United States and South Korea with the respective proportion of 66.62 percent, 21.99 percent, 1.96 percent, 1.44 percent, and 1.44. percent.
