The export value sent through the port of South Sulawesi in January 2019 was recorded at US $ 64.13 Million. This figure has decreased by 34.88 percent compared to the export value in December 2018 which reached US $ 98.49 million. In line with that, the January 2018 achievement was recorded to have decreased by 2.92 percent from the condition of the same month the previous year which reached US $ 66.06 Million.
The five main commodities exported in January 2019 are nickel; oily grains and medicinal plants; salt, sulfur and lime; cocoa / chocolate; and iron and steel with a percentage distribution of 59.26 percent, 9.49 percent, 8.02 percent, 4.80 percent and 3.93 percent.
Most exports in January 2019 were aimed at Japan, China, South Korea and Malaysia with a proportion of 61.10 percent, 19.71 percent, 3.37 percent, 3.10 percent.
