The Launch of Desa Cantik 2026

The launch of the ‘Desa Cantik’ (Statistics-Loving Village) 2026 initiative took place on Wednesday, 8 April 2026 at the Soppeng Riaja Sub-district Office. The event was attended by the Head of the Barru Regency BPS, the Soppeng Riaja Sub-district Head, the Head of the PMDPPKBP3A Department, the Head of the Communication and Information Division, and the Village Heads from each of the target villages, namely Lawallu, Siddo, and Batupute.

The launch of the Desa Cantik initiative marks the first step in a series of capacity-building activities for the three target villages: Lawallu, Siddo, and Batupute. Alongside this event, a certificate of recognition was also presented to Pao-Pao Village as the village that had been supported under the Desa Cantik programme in 2025.
