Sharing Knowledge: Hotel and Other Accommodation Services Survey (VHTS)

Monday, April 14, 2025, a Knowledge Sharing activity was carried out by all organic employees. On this occasion, the material was delivered by the Distribution and Services Statistics Team, which discussed in more depth about one of the important routine surveys: Hotel and Other Accommodation Services Survey (VHTS).

The VHTS is conducted every month to collect data on the development of accommodation businesses, such as room occupancy rates, number of guests staying, average length of stay, room nights used, and bed usage rates.

This survey is conducted on star hotels by census (all hotels are recorded), while non-star hotels are surveyed based on a sample determined by the Provincial BPS.

With the availability of data from the VHTS, it is hoped that it can provide an accurate picture of the dynamics of the tourism and accommodation sector, and become a consideration in making regional development policies.
